DICKSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nestled in the hills of Burns sits Old Spencer Mill.

“This is my future," Trish Miller told News 2, gesturing toward her granddaughter Marley Sharp.

Miller has a gift of caring for the past and envisioning the future. It’s what brought her to Parker Creek several decades ago. She first bought seven acres of land and now owns about 30 at the Old Spencer Mill.

"It's been a dream for a long time," Miller said.

Part of her dream was to preserve history.

“Cynthia Ann Parker — she was kidnapped," Miller said. "Her grandfather found this place, Moses Parker."

Trish and her family offer living history tours and all sorts of private events such as weddings.
