PRATTVILLE − An off duty Prattville police officer was arrested and charged with driving under the influence Tuesday morning, Prattville Police Chief Mark Thompson said.
At 1:30 a.m. Oct. 14 officers with the Millbrook Police Department arrested Colton Lambert, Thompson said. He was not on duty and was in a private vehicle, Thompson said. Lambert has been placed on administrative leave pending action from a departmental hearing by policy, he said. Lambert serves as a corporal on third shift, Thompson said.
"We hold our officers to a higher standard and this type conduct will not be tolerated," Thompson said.
Lambert could not be reached for comment and court records do not show if he has an attorney. He was not given any preferential treatment due to his being an officer, Thompson said.
