The Mets reached a decision on two coaching positions on Tuesday, naming Kai Correa the bench coach for manager Carlos Mendoza and promoting Jeff Albert to run their hitting program, according to a source. The club has not confirmed either move.
Correa, who briefly served as an interim manager for the Giants in 2023, was the Guardians' Major League field coordinator and director of defense, baserunning and game strategy this season.
The Mets still intend to hire at least one hitting coach to serve under Albert.
