WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - UPDATE: The Wichita Police Department said its investigation into a possible abduction in north Wichita caught a break Tuesday afternoon with confirmation that a woman, shown on doorbell camera footage being forcibly taken from a front porch, is safe.

At about 3 p.m. Tuesday, police said a woman, “claiming to be the individual investigators were attempting to identify,” called investigators who “immediately responded to her location, made contact, and transported her to City Hall so detectives could conduct a victim interview.”

“We have identified the female as a 35-year-old female who lives in the area where the video was captured. At this stage of the investigation, we believe this incident is a case of domestic violence where the female was victimized by her
