Britney Spears' rep has spoken on her behalf about allegations her ex Kevin Federline has made in his upcoming memoir, You Thought You Knew. In the book, Federline expressed his concern for Britney and his fear for their sons, Sean Preston, now 20, and Jayden James, 19. "With news from Kevin's book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her," Britney's rep shared in a statement to E! News, "and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin." The rep added, "All she cares about are her kids and their well-being during this sensationalism." Federline, to whom Spears was married from 2004 to 2007, wrote in his memoir that "this situation with Britney feels like it's racing toward something irreversible". "From where I sit, the clock is ticking, and we're getting close to the 11th hour," he wrote in an excerpt published by The New York Times. "Something bad is going to happen if things don't change, and my biggest fear is that our sons will be left holding the pieces." Spears, who reunited with Jayden in June, has previously shared that she has done everything in her power to have a relationship with her sons. "There is nothing I love more, nothing more important to me on this earth, than my children. I'd lay down my life for them."
