The Dodgers when the National League Championship Series moves to Los Angeles will start Tyler Glasnow in Game 3 and Shohei Ohtani in Game 4, manager Dave Roberts told reporters in Milwaukee on Tuesday.

This could have been foreseen once the Dodgers tabbed Blake Snell to start Game 1 and Yoshinobu Yamamoto in Game 2, by using the same logic. Because Yamamoto doesn’t start on fewer than five days rest, him starting Game 1 against the Brewers would have made him unavailable to start Game 5 on four days rest, and the team plans to use only four starting pitchers to cover the starts for the seven-game series.

Similarly, Glasnow is more likely to be available to start on four days rest in Game 7 after he starts Game 3. Ohtani has only pitched on fewer than five days rest once in his 101 caree
