A 36-year-old man has been charged in connection to a 2024 homicide in southwest Edmonton.

EPS says that officers responded to a report of a shooting near 106 Street and 74 Avenue.

Upon arrival, they say they searched the area but didn’t find anything suspicious.

Around 11:20 p.m., officers say they responded to another residence in the same area upon receiving a report of a death.

When they arrived this time, officer found one man dead.

That man was later confirmed to be 34-year-old Ozan Budak, and an autopsy confirmed he died from gunshot wounds.
