This afternoon, October 14, Lethbridge transit workers are holding a rally — or practice picket — in support of 45 members who operate the Access-A-Ride paratransit service, according to Travis Oberg, president of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 987. Drivers and dispatchers have been working without a contract since December 2024. Oberg says bus drivers and other transit workers will be outside City Hall from 5:00 to 5:45 p.m. in support of the city’s Access-A-Ride operators.

Opened in 2007, the centre welcomes over 500,000 visitors annually and serves as a hub for sport, wellness, and community events in southern Alberta.
