MADISON, Wis. -- The man accused of beating his former coworker to death near Camp Randall Stadium last month stood mute in court Tuesday, online court records show.

Keith Jones, 58, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the death of 62-year-old Mark A. Tiggelaar. A not guilty plea was entered on Jones' behalf during an arraignment Tuesday in a Dane County courtroom.

A criminal complaint alleges Jones and Tiggelaar were coworkers at BEST Security. Jones had been fired just weeks before the attack and the two reportedly did not get along.

Prosecutors allege Jones beat Tiggelaar with a hammer and stomped on his head multiple times. Jones allegedly admitted to the beating when speaking to detectives.
