WASHINGTON (KELO) -- Service to our country runs in the family for a father and son duo who recently visited Washington D.C.
From the memorials honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to all the other sights to see in and around Washington, Army veteran Raymond Cheney was there to experience it.
"You got some sadness and then you got some pride, so kind of those two mixed together," Raymond Cheney said.
Raymond Cheney served in Vietnam for almost a year. His guardian is his son, Casey. He served for the Army in Afghanistan.
"I joined the military shortly after high school and just tried to figure out what I wanted to do with my life and thought what a great opportunity to kind of hopefully see the world a little bit and kind of get grounded until I figured out what I wanted to d
