A Detroit woman is accused of crashing her car into a Center Line home, seriously hurting a 9-year-old girl sleeping in her bedroom.

Caris Adell Wade, 20, was arraigned Oct. 14 on charges of reckless driving causing serious impairment of a body function and failure to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in serious impairment or death, both five-year felonies, according to a release from the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office.

Wade is being held in the county jail on a $200,000 bond after arraignment in 37th District Court in Center Line. A not guilty plea was entered at the court. Messages were left for Wade's attorney, who could not be immediately reached for comment Oct. 14.
