A Detroit woman was arraigned Tuesday on felony charges after prosecutors said she drove an SUV into a Center Line home, causing serious injuries to a 9-year-old girl who was asleep inside.

Caris Adell Wade, 20, has been charged with reckless driving and failure to stop at the scene of a crash, according to a press release from Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido. Because the incident led to serious injuries, both charges are felonies punishable by up to five years in prison if Wade is convicted.
