Stellantis plans to put the Belivdere Asembly Plant back to work in 2027 building the Jeep Compass and the Jeep Cherokee.

Nearly three years after idling the plant and laying off or dislocating 1,350 workers, the maker of Dodge, Ram and Jeep among many other brands plans to invest $600 million to re-open the Belvidere Assembly Plant, Stellantis announced Oct. 14.
