A group of women calling themselves the Mad Maidens have taken to the South Coast bush on dirt bikes as part of a novel fundraiser.
The all-female dirt bike crew revved their engines and blazed a bush trail in a two-day adventure from Nowra to Batemans Bay, riding for a cause far greater than the journey itself.
The Mad Maidens took on the challenge as part of Tread on Trafficking, a national movement encouraging Australians to turn physical challenges into life-saving impact.
Proceeds from the campaign support Destiny Rescue - a non-profit organisation committed to rescuing children worldwide from human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
