WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) -- A local credit union CEO has been appointed to the state's Credit Union Council.
According to a press release, John Demmler, CEO of the Warren-based 7 17 Credit Union, was appointed by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine for a three-year term, ending Sept. 22, 2028.
The council is an advisory council to the Ohio Division of Financial Institutions for Credit Unions, which regulates all Ohio-chartered credit unions.
The release said Demmler is the only member on the council from Northeast Ohio.
