BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) -- A pair of veteran police officers were honored at the Boardman Township Trustees meeting Tuesday night, as they retire after decades of service.

Officer Glen Riddle, 29 years on the force, and Sgt. Charles Hillman, with 35 years, were recognized for their unwavering commitment to the community.

During the meeting, they were presented with proclamations in recognition of their service, and township officials raved about their dedication to protect and serve the community.

"They get a call, and I look at the eight 911 messages. You and I would get in our car and go the other way. They go in and do what has to be done to protect and take care of people who need that. I can't give anyone respect to somebody for what they do every single day," said Boardman Trustee T
