NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Louisiana Lottery players could soon be able to buy their tickets online, and the head of Louisiana’s lottery supports it.
Louisiana Lottery Corporation president Rose Hudson told lawmakers on Tuesday (Oct. 14) that taking the lottery online is its “natural evolution.”
Her comments came during the Subcommittee of Online Lottery Tickets meeting, where state representatives questioned industry leaders on the process and consequences of a potential expansion.
Rose pointed to the public’s ability to purchase items online, suggesting the lottery should provide similar access.
“As the buying population grows and evolves, we have to evolve with it,” Hudson said.
