DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Officials with the Festival of Trees and Quad City Arts are warning vendors about a Messenger scam.

Organizers said they are not contacting food or craft vendors for any events at this time, according to a Facebook post .

Officials also said they would never contact vendors over Messenger with a link asking for application fees.

Official communications, officials said, will only come from:

The Festival of Trees website

The Festival of Trees Facebook page

Quad City Arts social media pages

Emails with “quadcityarts.com” in the address

Officials ask people to report any accounts and emails pretending to be Festival of Trees.
