MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — A Rocky Hill man pleaded guilty to all charges in Middletown Superior Court Tuesday after a deadly boat crash in July 2022.

Police charged Kerry Sheltra with manslaughter, assault and risk of injury to a minor. He will serve more than three years of jail time and probation combined.

The incident took place on July 10, 2022. First responders were called to the Connecticut River, just north of Petzold's Marine Center in Portland, for a report of a boat collision.

Investigators found a 21-foot Yamaha jet boat that lost control and crashed into the rocks along the shore, ejecting everyone on board.
