PORTLAND, Ore. — U.S. District Court Judge Karin Immergut scheduled a phone conference for Wednesday morning to discuss whether to extend her temporary restraining order blocking the Trump administration’s deployment of Oregon National Guard troops for another two weeks. The hearing, originally set for Friday, was moved up because of scheduling issues.

The phone conference comes as lawyers on both sides wait for a ruling from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. The appellate court is considering whether to overturn Immergut’s order.
