Days after a federal judge issued an order aimed at reining in federal immigration agents' use of chemicals on protesters, tear gas was used by immigration agents on Tuesday to disperse what a spokesman described as a "hostile" crowd on Chicago's Southeast Side.

The crowd, according to witness interviews and news footage, had gathered in the area of 105th and Avenue N after a collision occurred between a Border Patrol vehicle and another car the agents were pursuing, a spokesman said.

At least four people were arrested in the incident and its aftermath - including two undocumented immigrants and two U.S. citizens for resisting, according to their families.
