Losing your phone overseas is a nightmare. More so if you're on a solo trip.

That was what happened to actor-host Das DD during his recent holiday in Bali.

The 35-year-old was trying to get back to his hotel at night when someone on a motorbike snatched his phone and quickly sped off, he shared on TikTok.

“I didn’t give chase and I didn't take down [the thief’s] motorbike plate number...as I didn’t think I was going to get back my phone,” he said.

“I just went to the nearest minimart and told them, 'I don’t have a phone. Can you help me book a Gojek back to my hotel, and I will pay in cash,'” recounted Das.

When 8days.sg reached out to Das via WhatsApp, the content creator told us that he did try tracking his phone when he reached his hotel.
