A Berks County company plans to close a manufacturing facility in Lancaster County.

Morgan Truck Body filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, informing the state that it plans to temporarily close its manufacturing facility at 485 Wenger Drive in Ephrata, resulting in the layoff of 92 people.

“This is a temporary closure with an unknown duration due to unforeseeable business circumstances,” the company said in the WARN notice.

The company did not elaborate on the ‘unforeseeable business circumstances’ it is facing."

The layoffs are expected to take place on Dec. 15 or within 14 days of that date.
