MINOT, ND (KXNET) — After months of discussion, one city council has officially passed its 2026 city budget. The Minot City Council approved a $216 million budget for 2026.
This amount is about $5 million more than the original proposal. However, the city's property tax levy dropped by almost $10 million. For Minot homeowners, Finance Director David Lakefield said that means a small amount of relief.
He said if you own a $100,000 home, you'll see your city property taxes go down about $83 a year.
