MINOT, ND (KXNET) — After months of construction, drivers in the Magic City might find driving around town a little bit easier.
Today, 16th Street from the Burdick Expressway to 16th Ave. SW in Minot, is now fully reopen to traffic.
Stephen Joersz, a traffic engineer with the City of Minot, said improvements on the road were made along with the utilities, underneath.
With the reopening, officials say the temporary neighborhood connection has now been permanently removed. Joersz said the traffic will improve now, providing some relief, but the construction down 16th St. isn't fully done just yet.
"We're still waiting on the material from both the street lights and the traffic signals at 11th by Minot High. For the most part with the street lights going in, it'll just be a standard lane
