There will be enough capacity in local social services to accommodate homeless people affected by the looming closure of the Co-Operative Care Centre, Brockville Mayor Matt Wren reiterated Tuesday.

Wren made the remarks as he opened a regular meeting of city council by celebrating the strides made by local municipalities and agencies in addressing the homelessness crisis.

His remarks coincided with a midtown open house meeting on the planned Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART) Hub location in Brockville, meant to be one component of that ongoing solution.
