DES MOINES, Iowa ( DES MOINES REGISTER ) - The Des Moines International Airport is joining at least four other airports in refusing to show a video of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem blaming Democrats for the government shutdown.
The video was intended to be played at airport security lines. This comes as the shutdown is showing no signs of ending, causing delays at airports.
“Democrats in Congress refused to fund the federal government, and because of this, many of our operations are impacted and most of our TSA employees are working without pay,” said Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
The Des Moines Airport says it will not show videos relating to the shutdown due to conflicts with its policy on political messaging in the terminals.
Other airports have said the video
