MOBILE, Ala. – Arkansas State isn’t leaving Alabama without a W this week.

The Arkansas State University Red Wolves clawed their way to catch up with South Alabama in the 4th quarter before finally taking the game right under the wire to win 15-14 with a field goal.

Jaylen Raynor led the game with 209 passing yards and 76 rushing yards. Both teams drew plenty of penalties, with Arkansas State getting 11 for a combined 91 yards and South Alabama getting 14 to lose 130 yards.

The Red Wolves came into this matchup following a similarly narrow victory over Texas State, beating them 31-30 to break a 4-game losing streak.

ASU will next take on the Georgia Southern Eagles on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 6 p.m. in Jonesboro.
