LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - In Lexington, there are no certification requirements for recovery homes, but after some neighbors expressed their frustrations, that may be changing by late October.

“The sooner the ordinance is adopted, the sooner operators can start the licensing process and the sooner we can begin holding those who choose not to comply accountable,” District One Council Member Tyler Morton said.

Many of the frustrated neighbors live in Council Member Tyler Morton’s district in the east end. He says this is a driving factor in getting recovery residences regulated quickly.
