FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — New affordable housing is coming to the City of Franklin. The city is partnering with Habitat for Humanity to give houses to specific workers.

This is the first time since 2018 that the City of Franklin has partnered with Habitat for Humanity to provide affordable housing for people in the area.

Habitat for Humanity in Williamson-Maury County is partnering with the city to build two new and affordable single family homes.

The homes will be located at 409 Sanchez St. and 1209 Mulberry St. The funding is coming from a community block-grant program.

Both of these homes will be deed restricted for 30 years. The homes will be for teachers, first responders, health care workers, city staff and service employees.
