LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Weeks before the start of the season, transfer tight end Terrance Carter, Jr. stated that he didn’t wish to just be known as a ‘blocking’ tight end, he also wanted people to see him as a dynamic receiver. Six games into the season, he’s already caught the most touchdowns of his college career- five, including a 21-yard score in the first quarter of Texas Tech’s 42-17 win over the Kansas Jayhawks.
However, the Louisiana-transfer himself hasn’t yet given too much thought to the accolade.
“I mean, it’s been fun. I haven’t really looked at it like that. I don’t really look to the accolades and all that until the season’s over, so I’m just keeping the main thing going out there, having a 1-0 mentality,” he said.
