The small coastal town of Kincardine is representative of many communities across Scotland. ‌

And in the debate over the Government’s plans to build 15 new GP walk-in centres , the issues in the town highlight deep concerns over John Swinney’s new scheme ‌

The town doesn’t have a railway station and the nearest big city is more than 30 minutes away by car. So having local access to health care services is vitally important. ‌

Kincardine, and neighbouring villages like High Valleyfield, rely on one small health centre which the NHS and local authority long ago announced isn’t fit for purpose.
