(KRON) -- A car owner is seeking the community's help in recovering their car that was stolen in Hayward early Monday morning. Their car is a red 2019 Honda Civic Type R with the license plate 9FKN270.

According to the Hayward Police Department, the car was stolen at around 4:50 a.m. when it was parked on the street at 27843 Ormond Ave. Police said a white sedan with an unknown license plate is a possible suspect vehicle.

Surveillance video (above) appears to show at least two individuals exiting a white sedan, which was parked next to the Honda Civic. Around the 2:02 mark, the Civic's engine turns on and appears to be driving away from the scene with the white sedan.
