CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - It’s not the War for the Wheel, but any SEMO-SIU matchup will be one worth winning.

SEMO Volleyball took care of business inside Houck Field House, dispatching their archrivals in four sets.

The Redhawks started off strong Tuesday night, beating the Salukis 25-19 in the first and 25-22 in the second set.

However, a down-to-the-wire third set gave Southern Illinois life, with the Salukis taking it 25-22.

But in the fourth, SEMO rallied quickly to a 7-0 lead, and eventually a 25-13 set that secured the victory.

While the Redhawks leaned on veterans like Lucy Arndt and Meg Holder to deliver the win, freshman Reagan Nelson had a standout performance, arguably the best of her career. Nelson recorded a career-high 19 kills along with 17 digs, scoring 23 total po
