Federal Opposition Leader Sussan Ley has intervened in Victorian state politics, warning about the growing crime crisis under Premier Jacinta Allan.
The interference by Ms Ley comes after the latest crime data showed record crime rates in Victoria as offences increased 15.7 per cent over 12 months under Ms Allan.
Amid the crime wave, Ms Ley ventured into state politics to criticise the Victorian Labor government, as state Opposition Leader Brad Battin campaigns on law and order.
The Federal Opposition Leader flew to Melbourne to hold a child safety round table on Wednesday, calling on the Albanese and Allan governments to deal with the crime crisis.
