Veterans and their families are demanding the Albanese government scrap plans to restrict appeals of defence honours rulings and impose a time limit on reviews.
Proposed changes to the Defence Honours and Awards Appeals Tribunal passed the House of Representatives in September and are now subject to a senate inquiry.
If passed, they would require appeals of Tribunal decisions to occur within 20 years of the end of the relevant operation, regardless of whether new information emerges.
