LeBron James clearly knows a thing or two about the work needed to stay in the NBA. After all, he’s now entering his record-breaking 23rd year in the league. A good chunk of current players weren’t even born when James first entered the NBA in 2003. That’s how long he’s been playing at a high level.

James, who is expected to miss three to four weeks due to a sciatica injury, hasn’t halted his grind off the court despite being 40 years old. He still loves the game as much as he did when he was younger. That’s why, in a recent clip circulating on social media, he lamented and criticized players who prioritize fame over the love of the game.
