NEW BALTIMORE – From 2017 through 2022, Anchor Bay was one of the better Division 1 boys soccer programs in the state.

The Tars advanced to at least the district finals in six straight seasons, including three straight years where the program won district championships (2020-22).

Anchor Bay could not get past the district semifinals in either 2023 or 2024. This time around, the Tars will play for the district championship thanks to Tuesday’s resounding 4-0 shutout of visiting Clinton Township Chippewa Valley in the Division 1 district semifinals at Anchor Bay’s stadium.
