STERLING HEIGHTS – While walking over to the team bus Friday night, a couple of Romeo football assistant coaches mentioned a fun fact about the Bulldogs to Romeo head coach Curt Rienas.

“They were talking about (numbers) and mentioned that we scored more points in league games than we ever have, and it was the most points scored by a MAC Red school since 2017,” noted Rienas. “I didn’t know that. But I guess if they did the research on it … “

That march to the bus happened last Friday night at Sterling Heights Stevenson. Romeo upended the Titans 45-9 for their fifth straight win. The streak involved all five conference games, which gave Romeo the outright Macomb Area Conference Red Division title.
