The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday, October 14, announced its first list of candidates for the upcoming Bihar assembly election 2025. The first list includes 71 names; another 30 are yet to be announced.
In its first list of 71 candidates, the saffron party fielded nine women candidates for the Bihar polls 2025.
Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, the two incumbent deputy chief ministers, will contest from the Tarapur and Lakhisarai assembly constituencies, respectively. The name of Bihar Legislative Assembly speaker Nand Kishore Yadav was not included in the first list. He has been replaced by Ratnesh Kushwaha for the Patna Sahib constituency.
