A bomb threat was received via email at the studio of acclaimed music director Ilaiyaraaja in T Nagar, Chennai, causing a security alert on Tuesday. The threatening email, also received at the office of the Director General of Police (DGP), alleged that an explosive device had been planted at the site. Police forces, including the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), responded by conducting a detailed search.

According to a report in The Hindu , authorities declared that no explosives were found, and the threat was a hoax. The incident has led to an ongoing investigation to trace the sender of the email.
