A serious crash between a car and a truck believed to be carrying sheep has closed a major highway in WA's south.
Albany Highway is shut in both directions between Mount Barker and Narrikup, 360 kilometres south-east of Perth, as emergency services respond to the accident.
The highway is the main road link between Perth and Albany, and a large detour is in place.
Major Crash investigators have been sent to the scene.
Video footage from the scene shows a badly damaged car on one the side of the highway and a truck tipped on its side in a culvert on the other side.
St John WA said it sent three ambulance crews to the scene, while firefighters are also on site.
It's understood the crash happened about 2:30pm. Loading Loading
