Here are five local fall festivals to check out in the coming weeks.

Carolina BalloonFest in Statesville

The 50th annual Carolina BalloonFest will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

On Friday, Oct. 17, the gates will open at 3 p.m. The Kids Zone will be open from 3-7 p.m. A mass hot air balloon launch will take place between 4:30-6 p.m. The Evening Balloon Glow will be from 6:30-7:30 p.m. A drone show will take place at 7:45 p.m. The gates will close at 8:30 p.m.
