NEW DELHI: The Brampton Blitz were crowned inaugural champions of the Canada Super 60 at BC Place, Vancouver, after outclassing the Montreal Royal Tigers by eight wickets in a one-sided final.

The Blitz bowlers produced a masterclass in T10 bowling, dismantling the Tigers’ batting lineup for just 69 runs in eight overs. Dillon Heyliger (4/9), David Wiese (3/6), and Chris Greaves (3/16) shared all ten wickets in a clinical display. Only Shakib Al Hasan (29 off 12) and Dilpreet Bajwa (18 off 8) managed double figures for Montreal.

In reply, the Blitz made light work of the chase. Martin Guptill (23 off 13)* continued his fine form while James Vince (34 off 16) struck four fours and two sixes to put the result beyond doubt. Alex Davies finished the game in style with a six as Brampton seale
