U.S President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he might attend the Supreme Court to watch argument in the case against his administration's tariffs.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump said it’s “one of the most important cases in U.S. history” because losing means the country “will be a weakened, troubled financial mess for many, many years to come.”

But a win will turn the U.S. into the “most powerful economic country in the world.”

“That’s why I think I’m going to go to the Supreme Court to watch it. I’ve not done that,” the president said.

States and small businesses have challenged Trump’s sweeping tariffs, a centerpiece of his economic agenda.

The court has agreed to hear the case in November.
