It took more than one half for the Wood River Wolverines boys soccer team to score against the Burley Bobcats on Tuesday.
The Wolverines kept their belief, as they scored four goals in the second half of Tuesday’s 4-1 victory over the Bobcats in an Idaho Class 5A Great Basin Conference district tournament semifinal contest at Founders Soccer Field in Hailey.
“We finished them off,” said Wolverines head coach Greg Gvozdas. “That [showed] good resilience, which we’re going to need for the next two weeks.”
The game was knotted at 0-0 at halftime after it appeared that the Wolverines’ Piero Cerron had scored in the 28th minute, but he was called offside.
