The Sun Valley Community School Cutthroats girls soccer team went through a tough stretch where it lost three straight Idaho Class 4A High Desert Conference games from Sept. 27-Oct. 2.
Just over two weeks after its third straight loss, a 4-1 setback at Buhl, the Cutthroats won the conference’s district tournament with a 3-2 road victory against the Kimberly Bulldogs on Thursday.
“It’s been a great turnaround,” Feldman said. “We couldn’t be more pleased with the girls’ efforts and attitudes.”
The win over Kimberly is the Cutthroats’ fifth consecutive win, as they will head to Meridian for the 4A state tournament on Thursday, with its seed and first round opponent still to-be-determined.
“The girls decided it was time to battle,” Feldman said. “They’re playing the way we always knew they
