A man who was on the RNC’s radar in connection with several break and enters in the metro region is now in police custody.

Officers patrolling Topsail Road spotted a vehicle which matched the description of one reported at the scene of several recent break and enters.

Police flashed the lights and the driver pulled over without incident. The 31-year-old driver was arrested in connection with several break and enters at businesses in downtown St. John’s. Investigations continue into other incidents police believe he is involved in.

He was also issued several tickets for violations under the Highway Traffic Act.

The passenger, a 38-year-old woman, was also arrested on an outstanding warrant. Police are also investigating to determine if drug possession charges are warranted.
