CN Rail says grain movement has been running smoothly this fall, setting a new company record for consecutive weekly volumes.
David Przednowek, Assistant Vice-President of Grain for CN, says the railway has exceeded 800,000 metric tonnes of grain and processed grain shipments for three consecutive weeks - a first in CN’s history.
“This marks the first time in CN’s history that it’s exceeded 800,000 metric tonnes three times in a row,” said Przednowek. “That means everything is operating really well.”
He said strong performance at western ports and improved car cycle times have contributed to the efficient movement of grain.
