Chikkamagaluru Police have arrested a man and his parents for allegedly murdering his wife, whose body was found dumped in an unused borewell in Alaghatta village of Kadur taluk.

The deceased, identified as Bharati (28), had been reported missing about one-and-a-half months ago. Her husband Vijay, who had filed the missing complaint at the Kadur Police Station, has now been arrested along with his father Govindappa and mother Thayamma, after police investigations revealed their role in the crime.

According to police, a quarrel had broken out between Vijay and Bharati about six weeks ago, during which Vijay allegedly assaulted her, leading to her death. He then disposed of her body by dumping it into an unused borewell on their farm and sealed the opening to conceal th
